IndieVolume is a desktop enhancement for Windows that allows you to configure sound volume individually, per-application.
IndieVolume is for everyone, who experience discomfort with audio due Windows limitation of one volume level for all applications. IndieVolume removes this obstacle, and lets you get the most out of your sound card/headphones.
Per-application balance and mute. Bespoke per-application volume, IndieVolume also supports per-application balance and mute. For example, suppose you have WinAmp, Yahoo flash game, ICQ and mail program running. Using IndieVolume you can set WinAmp balance to center, Yahoo flash game balance to left, mail program balance to right and mute ICQ.
Per-application playback device. IndieVolume allows per-application selection of playback device: if you have built-in sound card and SoundBlaster as second sound card, or USB/Bluetooth headset, you can configure certain applications play on built-in sound card, and others play on SoundBlaster or USB headset.
Per-application FX effects. IndieVolume supports per-application FX audio effects. If you do not have SoundBlaster, you can enrich application sounds by applying fancy FX effects, likewise I3DL2 Reverb, Waves Reverb, Chorus, Compressor, Distortion, Flanger, Gargle, etc. IndieVolume comes preconfigured with over 50 FX presets, similar to SoundBlaster ones -- IndieVolume can be treated as software replacement for SoundBlaster.
